Building community at The College of Liberal Arts

Spring 2022

The Liberal Arts experience at The University of Texas at Austin “emphasizes learning across a broad range of subjects, from humanities such as history or literature to social sciences including economics and psychology.”

Finding your voice in this diverse, multicultural college can be challenging for students. The wkrm team designed two common campus artifacts to help build community: t-shirts and posters. A third solution, environmental graphics, provided speculative ideas about how to add character and establish an identity between different buildings and spaces. In the Fall 2022 semester a new wkrm cohort will advance this work in a Placemaking strategy for the college.
