Micro-Transit

noun_Scooter_2267540_000000.png

Lightweight, nearby, rentable modes of transit are proliferating (and littering) cities on a global scale. Consumers are also opting for chargeable low-speed vehicles over cars, and combining public transit and TNCs to round out their commuting solution.

Why is it novel?

The ecosystem to create and maintain the vehicles is robust. Many cities don’t have laws on the books to govern these transit modes. Their scale makes them flexible with vehicular and pedestrian infrastructure.

Why does it work?

It’s cheap, fun, and accessible.
